So let me get this straight; the Nats have "found" an eleven
year old letter, purportedly from David Cunliffe, relating
to Donghua Liu's legitimate application to the Immigration

Locating a letter from eleven years ago, from a government

I had no idea our bureaucracy was so incredibly

It also appears that John Key and Bill English seem to have
differing stories when they got hold of this mysterious
"letter". Key says he "can't exactly recall, I think it was
a few weeks ago."

But English says he did not know anything about it.

So what is the story? When did they "get hold" of this
letter? Who gave it to them? And how on earth could it have
been "found" after eleven years?

Methinks there is more to this issue, and the dodgy
shenanigans being played out by senior National ministers in
an apparent dirty tricks campaign, is the real story.

It is high time for Key and English to come clean. What are
they up to?

Gosh. I love watching the left squirm when the shoe is on the other foot. Brain fade sound familiar?

    • 19 June 2014 at 3:18 pm

So, Jo, you can remember every letter you wrote, eleven years ago?

      C’mon, be honest.

        Yes. Nil.

        • 19 June 2014 at 3:54 pm

So, you’ve no idea then what it would be like to remember anything you wrote, eleven years ago? Convenient.

Nope I just don’t write letters anymore, If I was a politician I would be held to a higher standard.

            • 20 June 2014 at 9:12 pm

With eidetic memory I hope, Jo…

So when Key has a brain fade he’s lambasted whilst Cunliffe is not held to the same standard. It’s all National’s fault when Cunliffe stuffs up. Double standards or what?

                • 21 June 2014 at 10:17 am

You’re saying that. No one else (except right wing journos and politicians) is.

However, there is a world of difference between something that happened eleven years ago, and something that happened much more recently.

As I wrote above, Jo, and which you side-stepped, even you couldn’t recall something you wrote eleven years ago.

The “higher standards” you’re on about is meaningless when it’s applied to unreasonable expectations.

As such you are simply climbing onboard the Nat dirty tricks wagon.

                    As I said I didn’t write a letter 11 years ago. I haven’t written a letter in years.

                    • 21 June 2014 at 2:24 pm

So, you don’t know what you’re talking about, then?

Tell me, Jo, can you recall the very first comment you posted on this blogsite?

Come on Jo, cat got your tongue?

Frank asked you a perfectly reasonable question. Can you remember your first comment posted on this blogsite?

Let’s see you live up to your own precious standards that you expect from David Cunliffe!

Well it has to be what double Dipton says. I mean how could it not be. This is an honest man. A man who is above feathering his own nest at the expense of tax-payers. A man who would never stoop to lining the pockets of SCF “investors”, or distorting the facts, or misusing statistics for his own political advantage, or thinking of the voting public as “punters”. He is above all that. The PM however, well we know how shonkey he is! So obviously he has had another brain fade and forgot that he really only got the letter yesterday.

In what world are you living in?

      • Macro
        19 June 2014 at 9:05 pm

I’m living in a country where 27% of its children live in relative poverty, 25%of its young workers can’t find a job, and where the Party in Government are more interested in trying to discredit the opposition rather than do anything about addressing these problems.

        • 19 June 2014 at 11:29 pm

          Well summed up, Macro.

And the opposition is so weak it laughable.

What’s that most famous one, Macro?

Ah yes; the Meek Shall Inherit the Earth. (Or, what’s left of it, after the capitalist/corporate system has left it a rotting husk?)

          • 20 June 2014 at 9:10 pm

            Really, Jo?!

Hmmm. they must be so “weak” that the Nats are spending a helluva lot of time and energy launching dirty tricks against them…

Maybe not quite as “weak” as you believe?
