Hooten says that if the governments handles the Fonterra contamination properly, our dollar will go down, and it’ll mean lower interest rates and cheaper mortgages.

He forgets to mentions it’ll mean petrol skyrocketing and flowing through to increased inflationary pressures. Then the Reserve Bank will raise the OCR, pushing up interest rates…

I’m surprised Hooten doesn’t understand this. (Unless he was taking the p*ss.)

Hooton lost the plot on this one. I wonder if his “reasonableness” the rest of the time is just a tricky facade?

I found Matthew Hooten’s belliglerent attitude this morning when in a discussion with Kathryn Ryan disgraceful.

I heard it to, Ruth. Hooten was practically in a full blown hysterical rant.

My suspicion is that this is the Right’s opening gambit to discredit the new Labour leadership before it has a chance to rise in the polls.

Expect more character-assassination from Hooten, Farrar, Slater, et al.

Cunliffe must be a real threat to the Nats!
