A conversation that never happened…

There are, unfortunately, people who actually believe this sort of thing…

louisa Johannes Myburgh

Let’s put it to the test, shall we?

*ring, ring.

ring, ring.

ring, ring.

Hullo, welcome to  Meridian Electricity. How may I help you?”

“Hi!   I have a $250 power bill and I’ve run out of money. Can you flag it? I have lots of love in our household and we are very morally upstanding people.”

“That’s no problem. I’ve deleted your bill. Have a nice day.”

“Thank you. God bless.

See? That’s how you deal with poverty.

This is just fuckin sad. If someone “prefers Africa actually” and the *values* the whole continent embraces they can just fuckin leave NZ for the bliss of a country where:
    – women are more likely to be raped than learn to read. In the Congo they are just about guaranteed to be pack raped and sadistically cut up
    – family homes have elaborate security measures such as three doors to the outside, all locked due to the high incidence of crime
    – regular carjackings
    – kids feeding themselves from crap others throw away because their parents are all dead

Have fun being a woman in Africa Louisa.

Indeed. Those thoughts crossed my mind as well, Robert…
