O is for Obama, H is for hypocrisy…

US President Obama stated today,

“Let’s understand what the precipitating event here that’s causing the current crisis and that was an ever-escalating number of missiles that were landing not just in Israeli territory but in areas that are populated, and there’s no country on Earth that would tolerate missiles raining down on its citizens from outside its borders.”

Really?

I wonder how Pakistan feels about US drone missiles raining down on it’s citizens, from outside it’s borders?

    Hypocrisy on a breathtaking scale.

Not to mention how Palestinians feel about rockets and bombs and White Phosphurus bombs raining down on them from over the border.

I’ve always been pro-Israel in the countless acts of agression they’ve had to endure from Arab states.

But this is a step too far and Israel has become the aggressor in this instance. I’m reminded of Hitler’s invasion of Czechoslovakia and Stalin’s suppression of many ethnic groups in Soviet Russia. If this is the role that Israel wants, then they will quickly lose friends throughout the world.

As for Obama, his comment is beyond belief.

The only surprise is the length of time it took to issue the statement… *sigh*

There goes all pretence of being an impartial arbiter in this senseless conflict.

Strange, I could have sworn that the precipitating event was the creation of Israel on Palestinian land by the UN in 1947 against the wishes of the Palestinians.

Exactly right, Frank! The hypocrisy is breath-taking. I am not disillusioned with Obama, as I was never illusioned by him in the first place. That Nobel Peace Prize in his first 2 months kind of gave the game away!
